Happy 150th Birthday, Seurat!: Each week we will focus on a different work of art, created by this famous French Impressionist/Pointillist artist. Child-centered discussions, learning to look games and hands-on art projects will fill our hour-long session together. Available for K-2nd grade. 4, 6, 8, or 10 weeks available. $14.00 per child, per class.
20th Century African American Artists: The fascinating and inspiring works of Romare Bearden and Horace Pippin will be the focus of our class. Child-centered discussions, learning to look games and hands-on art projects will fill our hour-long session together. Available for 3rd-5th grade. 4, 6, 8, or 10 weeks available. $14.00 per child, per class.

TODDLERS
Visual Arts Class for Toddlers and their Favorite Adults
Art provides many valuable learning experiences for toddler-age children, including problem-solving and self-expression. This is particularly important for two-year-old children, since their language skills are not yet fully developed. Join us for 45 minutes of exploration, where we focus on the process (as opposed to the product) of drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, and more! Resources for parents on each medium and its relevance to toddlers will be available each week. Topics will be enhanced by an appropriate children’s picture book, museum masterpiece, song, game and snack. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind class! We look forward to meeting you!

PRE-SCHOOL THROUGH GRADE 2
Visual Arts
Each week we will focus on a different art medium through museum masterpieces and hands-on projects. Themes include collage, drawing, painting, printing, and 2- and 3-D sculpture. Our last class will be a special focus on children's book illustrations and the fun of going to the library! This class will last one hour.

PRE-SCHOOL THROUGH GRADE 3
Once Upon a Picture
In this one hour class, children hear stories, study illustrators’ styles, and create their own artwork in the style of the illustrators. The goals of this program are to provide another way for children to connect with books, increase children’s awareness of how art fits together with the words of a story, and familiarize the children with illustrators’ styles.

Each week we will learn about a different masterpiece and the artist that created it through fun discussions, games and hands-on art projects. Classes last for one hour.
